Sea fishing is of an exceptional level for various reasons. The special thing about this destination is that you can fish here all year round because of the warm gulf stream and the great protection of cliffs to keep you safe from the wind.

Cod fishing

On the open sea and in the fjord you can expect great amounts of cod. Traditionally these fish are targeted with pilkers, but over the recent years large softbaits have proven to be more successful. This method shows to get  you both more and bigger cod. 

Halibut fishing
Another fish that is great to catch spinning with soft plastic, as well as baitfish, is halibut. A life changing fish for many. You can expect anything from a small but hard fighting 10 lb halibut up to a barn door weighing over 200 lb. Fishing for coal fish

During the summer months, we have large shoals of coal fish coming into the fjords. Now you can fish for them, in several water depths. Just use your echo sounder to find them, but also your eyes: if you see terns and gulls diving, you know that the coal fish are hunting after their smaller counterparts. Time to cast sand eel lures, hard baits and even popper lures! 

Fresh water fishing 

Do you like freshwater fishing? No worries! We also have several fresh water where you can fish, and good salmon rivers such as Flekke elva and Gaula.
